ok i think i figured it out. in 2 wire it only works as a switch. can someone confirm this?

if the answer is yes can someone let me know if it can switch energy saving light bulbs?

(i understand that as a dimmer module you shouldnt connect the energy saving type as it might cause them to go boom since they always operate a little like dimmers)

In two wire it also works as dimmer.

In most cases you dont have the 3th wire, so this helps you to setup faster, because you don't have to pull a 3th wire to youre switch.
