Alarm system in Fibaro HC2

Question

Hi,

Can you activate a module 2x1,5 kw (connect an access code or card reader) or as a remote actuator alarm in the alarm panel?

And can you run an alarm system with sensors Z-WAVE via the panel and or scenario.

What sensors, transmitter or receiver, Pocket Remote and siren compatible.

What sensor for pulse counter (example: water meter)? 1-wire for universal sensor or the input?

If it is possible to have a sample configuration.

Sincerely,

Bonsoir,

Cordialement,

Hi,

I am not sure if I understand you correctly, but you can fully integrate Fibaro with your home alarm system. You can control it from Z-WAVE or non-Z-WAVE sensors and you can control it from external devices.

What sensor for pulse counter (example: water meter)? 1-wire for universal sensor or the input?

You can only connect DS18B20 temperature sensor to it

I'm still waiting to see some written English instructions / guide on how to fully integrate HC2 with an existing wired alarm system in a house. Nobody seems to explain how it's done, but allegedly it can be done!

Up to now the attempt to control Alarm systems trough the z-wave modules is IMO just weird, too much limited by the existing physical connections. A real integration should read/control the alarm system using a Virtual Device trough ETH/RS-232 interface.

This already work for example for Domiq using their RS-232 module, a similar solution should work also for HC2, no?

I will do my best to put together a detailed report of my system using a 2 x 1.5kW Relay and a Universal Sensor in my standard DSC alarm panel.

It will take some time and I have to verify a few Alarm Panel interface representations in relation to status and feedback, but it is functional and sends the required notifications based on arming/disarming and breach.

I also have the ability to arm/disarm from my iPhone and build this function into scenes. The programming and connections appear to be reasonably universal based on the connections and programming features of most alarms but it was done with a security systems expert so I may not be able to answer all questions immediately

I agree that it is feasible, on my Satel Integra I have six ports dedicated to HC2 giving info on:

- open window sensors status for heating control.

- roller shutter confirmation status

- PIR (DT) status to activate the lights in the hallway

- Alarm status of patitions

But I'm limited to 6 inputs to HC2 (trough 3x1.5kw modules).

With a RS-323 gateway like Global Caché IP2SL; or connecting directly to the ETHM-1 TCP/IP communication module we could receive the compleate list of zones, alarms etc. stright from the Alarm system.

Much more cheaper!
