Hi,

I'm aware the subject of Shade Control comes up quite a bit on forums. However, mostly its about how to integrate/control shades already installed.

However, I dont currently have any blinds in the house, and I was hoping to fit some. I was going to use the Fibaro shade module, but I dont actually know where to get suitable electric roller blinds from (in the uk)? Does anybody have any suggestions?

Cheers

This is a very good question. I could not find anything in the UK so I might buy them in France and get them shipped (if possible)

I'm glad its not just me! I'm going to experiment with assembling my own in the next few weeks, I'll let you know how I get on. But Ideally I'd like it if I could find something ready made.

If you are looking at specifics surrounding motors, you need to be aware that currently the roller shutter controllers are made to work with the hard wired types only.

As an example the somfy range all come with an RTS range for their motors which only have 2 wires. These will not work but Fibaro are working on a solution for this which should be available by the beginning of next year.

I can confirm that we have used the LT and Sonnesse (silent) range from Somfy very successfully but they must be the hard wired and not the "RTS" versions of these motors

I found this site which produces the cheapest electric blinds I can find in UK.

It looks like they use remote controls, so I am guessing from the thread that this can not be integrated into Fibaro.

    Can anyone help?

If you are specifically looking for curtain tracks, these are more than likely the best option for you. I am unsure if they are supported by the HC2 as they are not currently available in my market

yeah, i'm struggling to find a price as well and then there's the dreaded question of "will it work with the hc2"?

    Dear Fibaro,

Have you managed to integrate with the Somfy RTS version?

    Posted

The easiest way to operate Somfy RTS is use SOMFY 485RTS + switch from fibaro, but you don't have positioning.

Hi I have purchased some roller blinds 2 and control with Duwi duro switch and works great. Slider works well too. Pm for costs they were pretty reasonable.
