Can't add Aeon Door and Window Sensor to HC2

AlWafi999

Question

Hi

I am trying to add my new "Aeon Labs Z-Wave Door and Window Sensor, Model: DSB04100-ZWUS" which I just bought from

Please login or register to see this link.

to my Fibaro Home Center 2 (Version:1.040) but after finishing the inclusion I will get the confirm message ”HC2: Adding devices complete” but still the sensor is not listed under my Z-Wave devices!

I tried to restart the HC2 and do the inclusion & exclusion but still same issue.

I then notice that even after the exclusion the sensor will still shows that it is still part of Z-Wave network.

I did contact Aeon Labs support team and they advice me to check with Fibaro team.

Did anyone face the same issue before ? and how can I troubleshoot this kind of issue ? is there any log to check for inclusion/exclusion in the Fibaro HC2 ??

Thanks

"HC2: Adding devices complete" does not mean that the device has been found, it simply means the HC2 is no longer in learning mode

You need a confirmation that the actual device has been added which should read something like:

HC2: Device found

HC2: Device added

I have removed and added an Aeon Labs Sensor from my system using 1.040 without issue

Also worth noting is the serial number of your device. "ZWUS" potentially means the device you have purchased is on the US frequency (908.4MHz) I'm not sure what the Saudi Arabia frequency is but I expect that you are on 868 like UAE and you have the wrong frequency device for your HC2 ---- Just a guess

  • Hi JohnnyC

    Good point

Please login or register to see this image.

/emoticons/default_icon_redface.gif" alt="" />, US Z-Wave products will use different frequency than Europe (in my country always there are no standards

The good thing that I only bought 1 for testing
