[solved] How to reset Fibaro Roller shutter controller?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi,

I need specific and detailed directions on how to reset fibaro shutter modules individually, as they were out of the box.

I'm accepting all helpful comments, but please keep in mind that I have bought three of these and that have all become bricks for almost a year now, and also that I have tried to get help from fibaro (unsuccessfully) here on the forum and by email. So basically I thought of asking this direct question, disregarding what system I have or how is it connected.

Thank you

Hi, thanks for the reply, but I don't have a HC2.

I'm looking for help with resetting the modules, nothing else.

Hello, try to hold down include button on the roller shutter about 5-10 seconds. With the power on.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have done that several times, and the modules are still not recognized as they were the first time (out of the box).

    Thanks

    Hi,

I can of roller shutter reseting procedure is a little bit different then rest of our modules. To reset EEPROM memory of that device:

    1) Unplug it from the power line

    2) Turn on both buttons connected to S1 and S2 (close circuit)

    3) Plug power line again (Live should also go to S1 and S2)

    4) Wait until your roller blind will go up (or will just click relays if it not connected to any roller blind)

    5) Unplug it form Live wire and perform the procedure again.

Hi, I was only able to test this now, but I having some trouble with it. Step by step:

    1) Unplug it from the power line

    A: No issues there.

    2) Turn on both buttons connected to S1 and S2 (close circuit)

A: My wall buttons do not allow to have both of them on at the same time. I.e. when up is selected and I want down motion, I invert the up button, and switch the down button which starts the shutter motion. Can closing the circuit be done by wiring S1 to S2 directly?

    3) Plug power line again (Live should also go to S1 and S2)

A: considering the answer on 2), should I connect live to S1 or S2 at the same time, and then pluggin the power line again?

The remaining steps should happen if these before happen I guess.

    Thanks in advance

Is there anyone from fibaro support that can actually give an answer for this, before I start thinking of

    +1

The truth is that we are quite deserted in this forum by Fibaro, a beta that works pretty bad, neither does the iPad app.

Version 1.xx is quite slow to respond and the iPhone app is quite slow too, I have had many problems in terms of updates and actuators by malfunctioning software problems that have been resolved through new updates alone without any information from Fibaro.

Fibaro system is the most expensive in the market and users are being treated fairly distant.

    Continue adding positive reviews.

    se7en,

Did you buy your product directly from Fibaro or from a reseller?. I have not needed to test the reset procedure for the roller shutter modules but I will test this tonight if I have time.

I need help, y repeat this procedure a lot of times, but always have the same situation, the motor only runs 10s and not make the full way open-close.

The module are in the table for testing, and i connect a power plug on the N-L and L to S1 and s2, connect the power plug to 220v, 5seccons, un plug 5seccons, plug 5seccons, and remove the powerline L from S1 and S2, it's correct.

Sorry for my poor english, i'am from spain.
