Sunrise Scene

Question

Posted

Hey.

When you make a scene, there are different alternatives to choose from.

I would like to light as 5 minutes after sunrise been.

But I find just before sunrise options.

Is it possible to do this, How do you do?

For your particular request you can do this now....

Set the scene to run at sunrise and then the desired commands can be set to run 5 minutes after this time by putting the required delay in the red box for the command (300s)

With the current system architecture there will be some lag on the system while this scene processes due to the long running time of the scene. Bt this is being resolved in the new api which handles the scene processing in a much more efficient way. Also in the new api you will be able to specify this with LUA scripting so the set time is actually set to start at a certain point after sunrise rather than starting to process at sunrise and triggering 5 minutes later

And how to turn on the lights 5 minutes BEFORE sunset?

Why do you need to be so specific that 15 minutes before or exactly at sunrise is not suitable?

Why do you need to be so specific that 15 minutes before or exactly at sunrise is not suitable?

Because it is already dark when I use the sunset function. If I had the option to select 15 minutes before sunset, it isn't already dark.

Sorry, I should have read your post correctly as I was previously discussing time before SUNRISE (as per thread title)

I haven't specifically looked at this with LUA scripting from the previously released Beta a few months ago as I have gone back to official software, but I expect this to be possible. The good thing about the LUA feature is that you can build the graphic block scene and then convert it to LUA so you can see how it functions.. You just can't do it in reverse

    +1 for me to.

    that was my question.

i understand that this function doesn't exist.

is their a work around to get this function.

+1! I hope Fibaro will implement this, otherwise the sunrise feature is useless for a lot of HC2 users.
