Virtual Device LUA asynchronously receive sockets and other?

robmac

Question

Hi,

Trying to understand the limits to current virtual devices in Beta.

1) is there any way to asynchronously message over sockets?

2) can properties be defined that can be read/set in scenes?

3) any events that trigger scenes or scenes that trigger on property value change?

I think it is possible to call a button from a scene on a timer and use a global variable but it is a bit inefficient for what I want.

scenes that trigger on property value change

This part, I'm using to make an own monitor for a specific device.

Each time the device (Fibaro FGS221 V1.7 Switch ON OFF 2x1,5kW) changes state, the scene runs once.

Please login or register to see this code.

The source trigger type is 'property' when the state of this device has changed.

It doesn't matter what causes the change in state, other scene, manual click in web-interface och a click in the wall switch.

I was after the same for a virtual device... just now they have a few limits.
