Door lock compatible with HC2

Question

Posted

Hi all,

I am looking for a new door lock. Has anyone tried door Zwave door locks like Vision ZM1702?

There is also the Polylock but I prefer the idea of the door handle like the ZM1702.

It looks good but I cannot review of this product, I wonder how it performs, if it is work well and if it is compatible with the HC2

An other solution would be to use an electronic door lock with the universal sensor but I would rather avoid it (much simpler to have a ready made zwave door lock).

Thanks for your help

Hi jeje87a,

I am afraid that such locks are not supported yet, but I am sure that they will be in future. We need to implement specyfic Z-WAVE classes for such devices. When we will finish process of extending newest Z-WAVE devices compatibility then we will work on such security devices.

    Hi!

I've got 4 z-wave locks, purchased the Fibaro HC2 and really like the idea to get rid of Micasa... When do you plan to support z-wave locks? I could help to test everything...

Any news on the progress? When could we expect to see this ZM1702 device supported?

If you want an automated home, a lock can not be missing from the devices list

Guess this can be debated, but bottom line is: You would most likely like some sort of back up/fall back...

As to the question of supporting other z-wave products. Fibaro please...

I really need to control my ZM1701 doorlock. With Vera it was no problem.

Is there a prediction, roughly, when this devices are supported?

If it is not supported for within a couple of months I have to fire up my vera3 again and try to setup the unit as slave controller.. I don't (even) know if this possible, though..
