To me it's currently not clear if Fibaro dimmers can trigger scenes or not? From the Vera forum I got that on the Vera this is not possible, but several posts suggested that this is the implementation in the Vera. Is this issue also present in the HC2?

What I want to do is when I press the light switch (triggering the dimmer), I want a Fibaro relais to be activated at the same time for some other devices.

From a technical / programming point of view I see no problem as to why this should not work, but from reading the Vera forum I've gotten a bit worried...

hvb83, in hc2 you can trigger scenes in dimmer by:

- status of device "if device is tun on/off then ... / if device is tun on less/more x% then...

- scene activation (only in beta) when you press button, 2-click,3-click etc with dimmer in version 1.9+ (" if you 2 click on button do ....")

I want my wall socket to turn on when I turn the lights (dimmer) on in my livingroom.

If I am right, I only need to create a scene that does this: (firmware 1.045)

Please login or register to see this code.

No need to link it somewhere in the dimmer?

You can also create association in dimmer settings. It's a bit faster than scene, and works even if HC2 is turned off for some reason. But in this case, wall socket will turn off if you turn off dimmer - I don't know if you want it to be like this.

Thanks for the replies.

The scene doesn't seem to work. Or I am missing something.

And associating the dimmer with the power outlet is not a good idea, as I don't want the socket to turn off when the lights are turned off...

Kids tend to play with light switches, and I wouldn't want to harm my electronics because the socket is behaving like christmas tree lights...

Is there any (real) good documentation on how to use the scenes?
