1.047 Update

Dear Members,

Today we have released new software version.

Software Changes List 1.047:

WARNING! This update can last longer than previous updates because of downloading new Recovery Mode ver.

For correct display of the update progress, we recommend refreshing the page (CTRL+F5) before starting an update.

1.047:

- Fixed ST814 reporting bug, which could in some cases report humidity in temperature endpoint and report temperature in humidity endpoint

- Fixed Event Panel

- Added support for Fibaro v2.1 devices

- Added support for Danfoss v2.51

Ok, I cannot do anything with the beta.... but it's a beta, ok..

First problem, no notifications in the scenes ??? Am I dreaming or is it a fact ???

calvin4000, in 1.x there was never notifications in scenes

It means that the only way to have notifications in scenes is to use the beta 3.xxx... or nothing....

there is a work around, you can use a virtual device and send email. See in the forum for more details.

After installing 1.047 I have dead nodes again! And I was so happy that with 1.046 they were gone...

Also, Ghost nodes can still not be deleted.

Vera 3 = Work

Vera Lite = Work

HC2 = not work

and all test made with the same modules and same configuration .

not saying that all fibaro products are bad but when clients requests are not considered ,no timeline,no clarity.

just to compare with a little homeseer server HC2 like pc and HCtouch you can do everything you want, with a 19mo application on iphone ,with fibaro iphone application you have 390mo of memory usage. good looking yes

and you know what i have homeseer,fibaro ,and others....fibaro is the best good looking GUI , but the more limited GUI where you can do nothing without installing Betas.

reputation most be the priority for every manufacturer and the today fibaro client after the CE2013 want what was

shown , no sand castle but what promised.

Fibaro is good GUI,equipements, but the stable version of software is limited and i hope that this will change, not for me but for all my futur clients.

You speak sense: all of these systems have pros and cons

Homseer:

It has been around a long time and has great community support.

It supports more than z-wave

We know when the next version of Homeseer is coming.

It has a UI builder for iPad and android that uses low memory but locks up regularly if you don't get it right. But you have to be willing to pay $600 for the pro version.

It is an expert and enthusiast system not a consumer system

It costs $300 for cheap pc + a z-wave interface so $1000+ dollars and you can get going.

So having said all that and probably in a lot of agreement, as we have HC2, shall we have this as a place for community support on HC2?

If you want Fibaro support we all know they like e-mail.

I will continue to go to Homseer and Vera also for community support on those products. I guess you will also enjoy Zipato support.

@Fibaro: Update 1.047 bugs:

- Setting Danfoss Valves in Heatingpanel to temperature with 0 (unlimited) minutes in manual mode does not work....

- Need possibility to connect 3 valves in a room to each other (association?), as now you have to program 3 valves for the same room separately ... Which is completely unwanted and useless (especially in the iphone app).

I have the same problem in one of my rooms.

I am on the Beta just now but was thinking of going back to 1.047. I have a scene that syncs the setpoints of the valves in a room. I had to use LUA as the block scenes did not show the set point value or allow it to be set. (don't use heating panel just now)

Please could you check if the set point is available to use in a condition and available to be set in 1.047 scenes?

I don't use the heating panel in the Beta

Robmac, not sure what you mean with the setpoints? But maybe not necessary anymore due to new BETA update? Any issues? Cause, thinking about upgrading again to the new beta 3.423... Do you suggest to?

Hi Marcel,

I can not recommend if it is right or wrong for you as I do not know your experience.

Please accept my apologies if you have lots of experience in testing Beta...

It is a Beta so if you upgrade you are testing an early version of the system and there is a higher risk that a serious issue could be found than in the stable.

I have found no show stoppers for me but as an example of the risk, what I call "the backup loop" was not fixed. Luckily I had previously read the solution to this posted by another forum member so I could continue. If this had been an undiagnosed issue it could have taken days or weeks to fix though. In this case Fibaro released an emergency patch that I have retested and it works as far as I can tell. BUT these type of issues can be difficult to close out as there could be yet more scenarios that cause the issue that we have not come across yet.

Like many of the others testing the Beta, I do know how to fiddle to get around some issues after reporting the bugs so I am happy to take the risk but there could be ones that I can not fix

I also have backups in place in the form of other systems I can switch to as the Fibaro is a test system for me. I only use it live as it is the best way to shake out issues that are not caught by the developers but it is easy for me to switch heating back to another form of control.

So all I can recommend is:

If you are confident and resilient to any upsets and need functionality or want to help test, I have founder nothing serious wrong with the Beta with the devices listed below.
