display external data in HC2

Is there a way to display external data in HC2?

I like to display the actual energie production of my solar panals. I can provide the data to HC2 in every way (xml, json, db link etc, http)

The use of a powerplug is not possible because the production exceeds 16 amps

Would one of the Aeon Labs clamp meters work?

for current beta other options are a bit limited:

From a virtual device use the net library to get your JSON

format as needed and fibaro:log( data ) will put the value on the bottom bar of the device.

But then to make the thing update you will have to call the button on the virtual device from an autostart scene. A bit messy but the net library is not supported in scenes yet.

Thanks for your answer. The clamps won't work im my case. So i will try the virtual device option.

I there also a way to get data from a http request. And use this in the virtual device?

Is the also a way to display the value in the middle of the device like the temp sensor? If not @fibaro will this be supported?

@Fibaro will the be support of the net libary in scenes?

There are a few examples using HTTP look in the Sonos thread that Mark started.

For what I have used so far I have just used sockets.

There is a post somewhere in here from Fibaro saying net library will be supported in scenes so cross your fingers for next Beta.

I can control plugwise...via http but no chance to get the date in HC@

I have a Kostal Piko 8.3 inverter for my solarpanels that has an integrated webserver. I would like to create a virtual device that checks if my inverter is working well and i want to display the current electricity production of the current day as well.

So did you succeed in creating such a virtual device? If yes, i would be glad to get some info about that from you.
