Hi,

I have had about ten fibaro switch for a little more than a year now.

First one was broken two weeks ago, today second.

Cause for concern. I hope this does not start to become a habit.

whether your switches lasted well?

Before we assume the quality is not good, what are you switching with those relays? Any heavy loads? How often do you let them switch?

You can probably imagine that having a heavy load (near max.) is much harder on the relay than simply using it as a boiler relay.

    Load is about 20-60 W.

    Switching 10-20 times week.

I opened the broken today at work.

Problem is not on relays, it's the input voltage regulator that has broken.

Hmm, that doesn't sound good. Was that the problem with the unit that failed the first time too?

First one i got changed to warranty, so i didn't open it.

I hope this was just bad luck, and these don't break more.

Is it same location - same place? Or different modules from different locations?

What exactly is the relay connected to? I.e what type of lighting or motor or any other device?

Output1 is connected to compact fluorescent lamp (11W).

    Output2 is unused.

It's not load, that causes this problem.

Inside FGS-221 switch is two relays.

Load current goes through the contact of the relay, witch in my case is ok.

I have bought them from the same place, but they are placed in different locations.

    Hi

The same thing has now happened to me. Two FGS-221 broken in one week.

Output 1 connected to a luminous tube.

    Output2 to a 40W lamp.

    Parameter 14 changed to bistable.
