Fibaro Universal Sensor and Veritas R8 (pre 2000) connection

Hi all,

I just bought an Universal Sensor (to start with) to connect to a couple of zones of my Veritas R8 (pre 2000) alarm. Connecting power and ground to the AUX connector of the R8 was no problem. I've coupled the Sensor to my AEON stick and did some setting. If I connect the IN1 or IN2 lines of the Sensor to ground I am able to light up some lights in my room, but no way I can get it done by connecting the Sensor to a zone on the R8. I tried about everything I could think of, based on the drawings in the installation manual of the Sensor, but nothing seemed to work. The manual was not really helpful, for nothing looks like the situation I have with the R8 and, for instance, the reed relais which senses the opening of my front door.

Does anyone have any experience with an alarm like the Veritas R8 and the Universal Sensor? Does anyone have different schema's for connecting the Sensor to an alarm, different from the drawings in the installation manual?

Thanks in advance,

Evert
