Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a good idea of controlling FCU? As we know, in big houses, we usually use FCU to control the cooling and heating inside the room.

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

actually you can in some ways

you need few relay modules

use 3x2*1,5kw relays

1 -control fan speed 1 & 2

2 control fan speed 3 & on/off

3 control fan heat/cool

to change the temp and cant think of good solution right now but ill think about it

send me pm if you nee dmore info

Thank you very much. Your help sometimes is more efficient than Fibaro.

We thought about this solution, but if someone in Z-wave alliance can produce a single product, let's much better.

Kuuno, why the use of the FGS221 relays which are ment for high voltage switching?

Wouldn't the Universal binary module be easier to use. It's ment for low voltage switching and depending on how the temperature switch is used it can probably be used for that as well sending out different voltages for different temperatures.

Omar.W, We are creating brochure about such integration. It will be added to advanced user guide soon.

jrkalf, if this thermostat have only relay that can switch ground you can use UBS as well

Same requirement for my home, actually I only switch on to fixed speed with Fibaro Relay linked to Fibaro Universal Sensor for temperature...

I found online these Z-Wave Fancoil thermostats (there are both 230v AC and 24v AC versions)

No idea on compatibility and price,

seems perfect (in look and features)

    regards

OK are pulse branded, ex Nuoon

    this is the web page:

    from the reference design detail:

Pulse has designed a Z-Wave* communicating Fan Coil Unit Thermostat for installation into both new and existing homes, hotel rooms, and offices. The integrated Z-Wave RF mesh network enables powerful two-way control for improved energy efficiency, robust performance monitoring, and enhanced comfort.

Designed for both cooling and heating applications, the Pulse FCU Thermostat supports automatic or manual changeover for 2-pipes or 4-pipes climate control systems. In addition, the thermostat has an integrated energy metering circuit that reports power consumption of the fan circuit. The Pulse Thermostat also features valve regulation reporting, which enables detailed monitoring of the energy consumed by the connected climate control system.

    I'd like to know more.

    regards

Fibaro, what about to integrate these devices?

I think all modern A+ building has Fancoils for heating and cooling, all modern houses need domotics, so Fibaro + FCU Thermostats is a MUST!
