I use 3 Wanscams (Foscam clones) and they work superb. I replaced the lenses with better wider view ones that cost only a couple of dollars a piece. The cams are about 45 dollars a piece.

Same here, I had a elcheapo Foscam clone from a groupon deal. They work just fine. You might have to juggle the parameters a bit to switch up/down/left/right to match the specifics and all will be working smoothly.

About to purchase a second device. I'll just order the cheapest around and it'll do just fine.

I have three outdoor foscams FI8904W (no clones) and they do what they have to do for 3 years now.

They are solid, weatherproof and the picture quality is good.

At my work whe have an expensive Axis cam and the picture quality is not better then my foscams.

You must consider what kind a lens you need.

My cams all have a 3.6 mm lens, this gives you a wider view.

Just depends on what you need......

Outdoor are classic dome cam's connected to Axis Video server.

Quility/price of this cameras is very good (60-150 euro).

My frontdoor cam is running for about 6 years

Lux is 0,00001 (no IR leds)

Well, I'm using mobotix which are expensive... But they are quite unique - two sensors, color HD for day mode and B/W ultra-sensitive HD for a night.

It works very well and I'm able to see everything in details in a darkness

Please login or register to see this link.

Sensitivity

Color: 1 lux (t=1/60 s), 0,05 lux (t=1/1 s)

B/W: 0,1 lux (t=1/60 s), 0,005 lux (t=1/1 s)

p.s. it is possible to find them cheaper on ebay sometimes.

Shad, not sure about the 9821W but I have the 8910 and have configured it to touch a certain URL on alarm. It's not configurable in the interface, only through the URL. Something with

I couldn't get this to work at first, because Fibaro needs login before starting a scene. So I created a PHP script on my NAS which logs into Fibaro and then opens the URL. That script is called by the camera.

I own one of those 9821W, and as far as I can tell, there is no such function of accessing an URL when an alarm triggers. The API is different from older models, and only lets you send an email.
