Phantom device activation

Question

Hi

I have a scenario where I installed a door sensor and a Fibaro dimmer to the light in the hall. The plan was that in the evening when it got dark, the lights would turn on when the door was opened, then stay on for a few minutes.

What was actually happening was the light came on when the door opened and then shut off when the door closed at any time of day (ignoring the variable which was set on sunrise and sunset) and not adhering to the delay part in the script.

I did try to associate the two devices and tried to remove the association when things werent working. The Setup field is blank on the door sensor but the View field still has the id of the device (dimmer) that was removed. Can anyone please explain what the View field is and how it is reset?

To start again, I removed the script. But the lights still switched on when door opened.

I have removed and added the dimmer. But the lights still switched on when door opened.

I have removed the dimmer. But the lights still switched on when door opened.

I have restarted the controller. But the lights still switched on when door opened.

I cant find where this is being triggered from.

Some help would be useful

Best is to reset both devices.

I have a smiler problem with my garden light.

They will periodically turn

There are no associations in any device.

You problem looks a bit more complicated and is turned on by the HC2..
