Thoughts about Mobile version... and documentation of fibaro

Question

Posted

Dear Fibaro,

I really appreciate your great job on making a nice system, especially after version 3.5

Even if i use it only for simple tasks like: heating and lights at my house. The LUA add on and many other minor details, makes it a nice choice for home automation.

I have seen the iPhone app and the iPAD, I have seen the time spent on iProducts and the way you prioritize the updates for these products. I understand the audience for these products is huge, (or at least it was a few years ago)...

Now days with Android os, there is also an alternative audience, the audience which is more advanced than iProducts lovers.

I feel really sad after almost a year of having this product and using it daily, the missing application. (and please do not tell me about the beta app, which is for 3 months now on the same version, and due to forum people is translated to many languages).

Do not let me count the bugs it has even on version 1.047.

And to remind you the answer from your side: Android development is so hard, and supporting devices too.. I disagree.

I would expect instead of paying attention in iPad App, spend some time for the biggest audience the Android Users.

Regarding the documentation, we do also have a big difference between reality and the posted one. Please update it, please add the most common language used in the world (I mean english). No english at all.

And last but least. Nice Fibaro wall plug, nice Door/window sensor, but if you spent some time reading this, spend also some time to make us feel equal to Apple users. We are not we are the most on this world, and we are like minority.

Thank you,

Vassilis

P.S. I know many people complained but you still ignore android users, i do not expect much... but I have my time frame, in 2-3 months i will remove everything from fibaro and go to other system, as of this missing part.

I agree, the hc2 is a fantastic product but we need a better android application.

In my family everyone has at least an android device.

I've tried the ios app on my old iPhone 4 and 3gs and is a lot better than the android version..

Please fibaro give us a stable version for android devices

Thank you

Android tablets have a good price. You can mount them on the wall in each floor.

Do you have details of a release date ?

For my part, the application crashes when I enter the room module.

My cameras are not available

Dear Users,

Android is our no 1 priority at the moment!

Really?

Developing an Android port is now your top priority? Even before releasing the Looooong due iPad app?

Who the hell is managing priorities inside Fibaro?

Good business practices go like this:

  • Promisse
    Deliver
    Then promisse another thing

Get your act together!

Krystian, is this mean that you have an issue with the IPAD app ?

Encourage your dev team to go through Android now ?
