what would be the options for sending sms when power is gone? some 3g modem that can receive http or LUA commands?

has anyone implemented this with some specific devices?

Kuuno, to my knowledge there is no device that can receive http or LUA commands but you can if you have "home server (Win or Linux)" with little dev. create a Gateway between HC2 and a RS232 3G MODEM like Siemens T35i or other. i think this is the best way for the moment.

I hope fibaro open more LUA integration and capacity in the HC2 to be able to program "drivers" for usb devices: welcome 3G modem, RfxCom etc, etc

I found a way with a key huawei 3g, I set it to modem mode.

For the moment I can send sms with gnokii in debian.

I start to make a small API that don't send sms for the moment. I am going to try tomorrom to find why the raspberry don't want send sms.

    Very simple.

    1) Buy small microtik with USB - very cheap (59$)

    For example this one:

    2) Connect any supported USB stick (all major supported)

    3) Use http or telnet commands to send SMS.

    Bingo!

p.s. microtik is extremely powerful and could be used for many other tasks.

Not many time to do that, but now I can send sms in url so I just need to implement in the HC2. So if I have the time I make a post to explain how you can do that.
