Tane,

When you have an existing alarmsystem i agree.

The new fibaro alarmpanel is a step in the good direction but still not what i need.

Once more....

- by leaving your home give the user the chance to add a delay and play a sound during that delay.

- by entering the home same thing.

What we now have is a delay by entering the home not for leaving the home AND the ipad app gives immediately an alert.

This can't be that hard to accomplish......what do you think ?

Hello,

HC2 to make an alarm system, how to detect the scrambling easy Z-WAVE?

can detect dead nodes but if there is more comunication how to turn the siren if there is more communication

This is one of the weaknesses of the "alarm" Z-WAVE, jamming equipment is easy with a few euros

Thank

Martial

That's correct but it's better to have a "basic" alarmsystem then having nothing.

Communicationproblems can always happen, even with an expensive system.

Fibaro has integrated an alarm system in their HC2 but it's not complete.

completely agree.

This is just to possibly Fibaro team takes into account aspects to do something more secure

HC2 is the best but you have to stay ....

Other boxes also have assets (Zybase multi protocol including EnOcean DiO RFXet MyFox which is an alarm system on two frequencies including home automation) it is necessary that the Fibaro continues to differentiate itself.

It would just add a siren to the box where a relay contact to trigger a siren and would be enough ... so not much

Wish

1. pincode set and unset alarm

2. set specific sensor(s) to not go armed ( i've got a motion sensor in every room but don't want it to be active when set the alarm)

3. set the alarm with a keyfob.

4. update the iPhone app so we can see if alarm is armed.

5. app for Android Tablet so we don't have to buy expensive iPad's

6. ages ago there where pictures of a fibaro PIR (motion senors) is this still under construction?

For the number two, better to say, set specific sensor for specific scene.

Exemple, I have door sensor for the bedroom of the bay to see if he go out when I watch tv. So don't want all alarm system for that, but just message on tv exemple.

For the number 3 is already possible.

If you activate with remote sensors while the alarm is activated

I would add to number 2 in the HC2 an embedded siren (always in the case of an attempted scrambling network!)

I have the alarm working with some scenes. Which create a delay for arming some sensors. also a delay for when some sensors are breached. So I can walk into my house and then disarm the alarm.

I use the Zweve.me Keyfob to arm and disarm the alarm. and it is also possible to arm and disarm through an RFID tag near the fron door.

Still working on a pincode keypad...

I will write a post about it later this week if this could be usefull?!

@shad no no that's not what I want in a normal Alarm system there are zones that you can set, the option you gave is only a work arround. I want to set it with the button alarm on on the iPad or keypad not building scene etc.

@Martial25 so where is the option then in a scene to set the alarm how the alarm panel does? because i cant find it.

@stevenvd I can build it with scene's myself that's not what I want, if fibaro build an alarm panel then they must build it like a normal alarm works.

If Fibaro wants to take the alarm option serioulsy they have to build in these standard options that go with an alarm system or not build it at all.

I know there're noumerous way's to get arround this and make it work but I don't want to build an alarm system myself, then I'll be better of with an exsiting alarm system.

If a customer want's to buy an alarm system and I have to build scene's for half a day they be better of buiying a satel alarm.

I think that Fibaro will do this. I am already very happy with what they have build so far! As there wasn't a soft alarm in the system And now we have

So I think they take it serious and will improve it... The best way to go probably is to ask and create feature requests in Bugzilla?!

Guest hotrot_net

@Stevenvd, I agree that they made something possible but why not go all the way this is half work that doesnt help anyone, because the basic alarm features are missing.

Do I really have to login to bugzilla make a request etc. god...

Well I think Fibaro does what most people do...

Start with (to) many projects. and try to work on them all. In that way none get really finished... or all take more time. They satisfy many people a little bit. The other choice could be super satisfy some people...

Agree, but don't worry they'll get there…in a meantime just enjoy what you have
