Catch a change in devices

ComputerScience

Question

Hi,

I am looking to find out how to catch a change in some chosen devices to trigger a scene.

I want for instance to catch the following scenarios; temperature has changed, light is turned off, change in power consumption.

The new state of the device is unimportant, I am just looking to know when a change has occurred. Any ideas?

Try this if you want to monitor change in power consumption

Please login or register to see this code.

The id of my power meter plug is 39. Change to whatever id your device has.

If you want to monitor the change in state of a switch, add

Please login or register to see this code.

under %%properties.

The id of my device is 54 in this case.

Your scene will run each time a that property changes.

Regards
