Wall plug schuko shows 0,5 watt when off, 0,9 when on

Question

Posted

I have 4 schuko wall plugs. All of them are showing 0 watt when turned off and 0 watt when turned on and nothing is plugged in.

However one of them shows 0,5 watt when turned off and 0,9 watt when turned on and nothing is plugged in.

It's a pity because at day time if have a power consumption of 0,9 watt while all is turned off. Not that this makes the difference but cosmetically irritant.

Can I calibrate the power consumption?

I am not sure if I am right but there is information label on the wall plug which says "Wall Plug consumption is from 0,1W to 1W. If think device is going to take some power even if it is turned off. When You turn it on the led light is also on so it could take power.

In adv settings of wall plug You have parameter 49 and You can change it so wall plug will not count the power uses itself. So even if there will be no device connected via wall plug the power consumption will be 0W

you are 100% right. I have changed option 49 and it is showing 0 watt.

I personally prefer the 0 watt as I can then really monitor the consumption of devices.

Metering all together is never really possible unless you measure the main meter of the energy supplier.

I will post another topic as this is one of my interests as well.

jnathalia, You got on Parameter 49

Metering energy consumed by the Wall Plug itself.

go back to default Value and you will get 0W

    thanks, that's what I said.

the problem is solved with parameter 49 so the topic can be closed.
