hi jompa68,

very intressting ! love that synology and there Surveillance Station !

i'll try to make it work but something went wrong.

to test, when i copy and past the two HTTP commande to my browser, i've got an error 400 with false success. (SID is ok).

what version of Surveillance Station do you have ?

also i'm can't find the activate/desactivate camera command from the surveillance station API.

Do you know if there is that kind of commande ?

  • Do you run your Synology on port 5000(HTTP) or 5001(HTTPS)?

If i remember right i did not get it running when i use HTTPS port activated in my Synology

you're right, HTTP is redirected to HTTPS in the synology.

    that might be the issue.

i'll try when desactivated the syno or with alternate HTTP port.

    thanks !

    This is good.....

I was just thinking about buying a synology NAS and i was wondering if it was possible to start recording by synology's API.

    But here is the answer...

I have a couple of questions....

I was thinking to buy the DS212J with two 1 TB harddisks.

Is this one good enough ?

The main thing is recording camera's.

As far as i know you have a license to record from one camera.

If you want to add more camera's you need to buy more licenses.

    Is that correct ?

    Greetzzz,

    Lode

So i have my DS213J for a while now.

I tried the code above and i can see in the systemlog from the NAS that HC2 is logging in but fibaro:log(sidID) shows no result.

The camera is also not recording.

however, there was a beta upgrade to SurveillanceStation recently and I realise that the recording is not working any longer. I couldn't find any updated api on the net either, anyone can help?

    Thanks @jompa68

Looks like there is no possibilities to access tasks from webapi. Not if you mean system tasks, there is other download tasks etc that have webapi.

Thanks and that's not good news :-(

Do you know if there is an api call to shutdown to restart the Syn NAS ? (this is effectively what I am trying to do )
