First; I decided to make a new post. I tried updating a thread I started back in june, but that only added something to my last reply, lost way down in the three where no one will see it.

Here goes:

I have several Fibaro micromodule dimmers and 2 way switches but only one 1 way 3kW switch (FGS211). I'm having trouble with the FGS211. It is impossible to turn the power off

I've contacted the distributor, and he's had a look at the module and then sent me a new one. It was installed, and worked well for two weeks. Then the same thing happened again. Once again, the distributor swapped the modules, the new one was installed and worked well for three weeks. And yesterday, again the module fails to switch off the lights. Neither switch, remote, association nor the button on the micromodule turns the power off (but triggers state change and sends it to the controller).

What on earth could be the problem here? This is driving me crazy. There's hardly any load on this circuit, and my electrician must have hooked the wires up correctly or else it wouldn't have worked for weeks at first? What would happen if there was a short circuit peripheral to the micromodule? Would the power be constantly on or off?

Please reply!

Does your homes has two power sources, like Normal AC supply and a Solar supply?

Chances are there that you are using 'Line' of one source and 'Neutral' of other source.

If the same problem is repeating with new one too...then

I guess the problem cud be with the Input power source, Or your load is drawing the current more than the rated.

I have seen this type of failure with a v1.9 unit from a December 2012 batch. Also was only light loading << 100W and not heavily used.

Can't explain what it could be but it was replaced by the distributor. The replacement was from a recent batch that has newer software and has now worked fine for 2 months.

I have also had a few that have "popped" and died altogether from December and Jan batches. One was only switching a very low power auxiliary 24V circuit so no way could it be a load side overload.

If it is replace again check if you can get a different batch.

I have the same problem in two zones with LED lights. Suddenly the modules can not turn off and I have to remove them from the power supply

Thanks a lot for your replies!

@Tolino: Do the modules work again when you reconnect them?

@zwaveindia: No, I have only one regular power source. The appliances should not be drawing too much load, 100W max.

    @ robmac

Interesting. I'm afraid I do not know what version my modules have been. The first one was definitely not >=2, but the second and third modules were sent without the box and I only have the serial number. I do not use HC2 so I cannot look it up there. I'll have to contact the reseller again and see what he says.

I'm trying to exclude causes distal to the module. It would be nice to know what would happen if there was a short circuit peripheral to the micromodule? Would the power be constantly on or off?

It is exactly your same case. The module receives the shutdown command with the switch or with the software but not off, I hear the click but not turn off. I have to disconnect from the power and when it has been a while, usually starts working again. I returned another for the same problem

    Hi,

Clearly there have been some faulty units in the past but must be a minority judging by the reports on here. Bound to have a few.

BTW The software version on mine is written on the label so it is odd if it is not on your units.

    on the up side

Could be why they have bought some nice new machines...

so hopefully the build quality will get even better and start to match the design
