Been following this guy past month (crowd funding) and basicly you get a full arduino board + kit + shipping and some more addtional stiff for only 9 dollar.

maybe might even be able to make some cool stuff for fibaro hc

Price is nice but until Fibaro HC2 will not be more open for custom development creating solutions based on arduino or compatible boards can't be used in 100%. Current virtual devices allows combined with global variables allows a lot but they (yet?) can't act as normal devices from different categories so they can't be used easily in scenes. I know that a lot can be done but IMHO a lot of development based on virtual devices can be called a hack instead of a normal functionality.
