IP Cameras with jpeg works in thumbnail only

Question

Posted

I have 6 ip cameras around the house and I have successfully added them to the HC2 using the jpeg method. I can see tiny live images from each cameras under "your house' and under "Devices" That's awesome but when I click on the device hoping to enlarge it only displays a static photo.

Same applies for the Video Gate, Using motion sensors or doorbell, the phone goes ding dong when someone is there but it only shows a static photo without any refresh options. I am able to open the door no problem, but shouldn't this be a video or refreshing jpeg?

May be I am doing something wrong here?

Thanks

Hi. Did you get this to work? I have the same problem, I can only see the thumbnail, but not the bigger picture when I click on the thumbnail. It's the same thing in both the iPhone- and iPad-app.

In the web-gui, however, I can click to view a larger image.

I have a D-Link DCS-932L.

Best regards,

Fredrik

What browsers are you guys using? I have had some issues in Chrome with IP Cam thumbnails, enlarged images etc.

Firefox seems to work much better for me (Axis Cameras only though)

I have the same problem with videogate and foscam ip camera.

When someone rings at the doorbell I get notified on my android, but there is no picture at all when I click on the videogate notification on the phone

In hc2 GUI I can see video from foscam 9831 camera OK,and the controls pan/tilt are working ok also..

Why can't I see any image when I click on android notification?

+1. I have a Tenvis 3815W camera. I see only a small thumbnail in Chrome and IE. Enlarged picture is broken. Nevertheless video and movement works fine in IPhone app.

Hi guys,

I think I solved it. The 932 was working for me and then one day only the small picture, no the big one.

I went to the camera settings (in the Dlink software) and I changed the settings of the camera from 640x480 to 320x240. Now it is working in the big scereen too. You can have the highest video quality, but it seems that it has issue with the resolution.

Anyway my setting:

" image/jpeg.cgi "

" video/mjpg.cgi "

I hope it helps.

No video in the admin panel while on local network in chrome, but there is video while in admin panel with remote access.

Hi.

I had a similar problem with the foscam cams. Not sure if this will help, but i had to change 2 fields on the set up of the cams.

JPEG Path: http: //192.168.1.40:88/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=user&pwd=password

MPEG Path : http: //192.168.1.40:88/cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr= User&pwd= Password

192.168.1.40 = cam ip

88 is the port

user name and password is the cam credential detail.

Hope this helps.

P.S. If you copy the URL, remove the space after : and before //

HEy,

do you guys have any idea, how it could be possible to switch between DAy and Night mode in D-Link 932"  camera using Fibaro?

Ideally if we could use the buttons for movement of camera to send command to turn ON/OFF night mode.

I found this in the page:

<form action="/nightmodecontrol.cgiMETHOD="POSTautocomplete="off">

<INPUT type="hiddenname="IRLedvalue="1">

<form action="/nightmodecontrol.cgiMETHOD="POSTautocomplete="off">

<INPUT type="hiddenname="IRLedvalue="0">

I guess the cgi should look something like IRLed/nightmodecontrol.1 or something like that. Do you have any idea how it can be done? Virtual device would be great as well.
