Question

Posted

Hello all,

As far as I've searched, the subject never really came up.

Is it possible, one way or another to create virtual sensors in HC2?

My situation is the following: I have a La Crosse weather station hooked up to a Raspberry Pi.

From the Raspberry Pi, I poll the weather station every 5 minutes through serial port via open3600. (the output is stored in a MySQL database)

I'd like HC2 to have this results (notably temperature and humidity, but also wind speed & all) displayed as if they were actual sensors.

To me, it would make much more sense to have HC2 know the actual weather conditions than the predicted ones.

I'm open to alter the output of the Raspberry Pi in almost any ways (host a web server to publish the results as XML, etc...)

Any clue on how to proceed? (Or is it definitely not possible?)

Thanks!

Seriously, no one is interested in this kind of feature?

Thanks

+1 !

I'm very interested as I have also many IP sensors (Oregon sensors -> RFXCOM -> Raspberry -> IP)

I also would like to have a way to use the stats gathered by my Netatmo system as virtual sensors. (temp, co2, humidity, sound)

I can already use them for programming LUA actions, but no way to get them visible into the ipad application / interface yet.

Any idea if you are going to support this?

Anyone have any solutions to this?  I have a La Crosse weather station that i would like to integrate into Fibaro to use the temperature, wind, rain etc., both instant and historical.

Hi Krikroff,

I have your plugin working with my LaCrosse Weather station.  My weather station uploads (via Weather Display) to Weather underground, then i use your plugin using the api from weather undergound to get my weather information!  Its a pretty roundabout way.  I would like to get it locally from the output that i can produce from Weather Display in txt format. Ive attached what the output in the text file is like below......could you tell me how to use this data into the plugin?

Thank you!

Hello krikroff.

I wanted to ask you to re-share the plugin. Currently is not available. If it is possible?
