I was wondering what had happened since Jan 2013... been waiting and waiting as i'm sick of my Everspring SP103 devices sucking batteries.

Can't you hook it up to a powersupply ?

That's what i did.....no more batteries !!

Don't forget, maybe it eats a lot of batteries but it's a very good sensor !!

SP103 sensor is good, I agree. But it looks big and ugly. Aeon multisensor is much better alternative, but is not fully supported by HC2. I experienced sometimes long delays between movement and reaction in Aeon, so I decided finally not to use it.

I use SP103 in battery mode, but now I think about DC power supply. Do you know if it is safe to power it with 5v from IPhone charger? The batteries in SP103 has a total of 4.5v as you know. I think SP103 will with 5v work in nearest time. But can 0.5v difference kill the device in the future?

I personally vote for motion sensor from Fibaro. In my opinion it is more important to have than flood or fire sensor!
