Horstmann HRT4-ZW

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have been trying for 2 days now to include my Horstmann HRT4-ZW to my HC2 network. First I succesfull added the HRT controller to my network but the connection with the HRT switch in my CV was lost. So I connected the controller and the HRT switch again and now my connection to my HC 2 is gone. I have searched this forum and internet for a good manual to add the SRT321 to my HC2 network, but can't find anything that worked for me.

Now I cannot even add my srt321 to my HC2 network anymore. It finds the device and add it put it's not configuring any paramaters...:

[13] ID 77: Controller added

[13] Routing table update

[13] ID 77: Add node status protocol done

[13] Adding devices complete

[13] ID 77: New Sleeping Node

[13] Adding devices complete. HC2 Ready

After that nothing anymore

Somebody has a good manual or steps for this setup?

Update 14:40

It looks that everthing is working. I will make a manual of my steps and place it here.

Update steps:

1. srt321(switch 1 on) in L mode

2. Learning mode on HC 2

3. HC2 sees the srt321

4. Scroll with the wheel on the srt321 to n and click on it

5. Now the srt321 is connected

6. Switch 1 on srt321 on 0

7. Put HC 2 in learning mode

8. On the receiver push the network button and now the receiver is connected to HC2

9. Now they are connected but.... if HC 2 fails the CV doesn't work anymore, but you can connect to srt321 to the receiver:

10. Switch 1 on srt321 to 1

11. Navigate to A mode

12. Click on the A mode

13. Click on the receiver network button

14. Wait until AP displays on the SRT321

15. Switch 1 on srt321 to 0

16. now they are connected.

Update after installation:

I only have now one problem. If I change the tempature on the srt321 I see the update in my HC2. But if I want to change the temperature from my HC2 to the srt321 I doesn't update. The device is still waiting for Wakeup. Anybody an idea?

I had the same kind of issues.

I had to use the 'n' mode on the HRT after inclusion for it to configure.

I think you set this while the window for inclusion is still sitting there.

This guide shows how to include the thermostat and its receiver (if you don't want to use the FGS2xx relays).

It uses VERA as part of the example, but the steps to get it working are identical in HC2.

I've tried almost everything to get the heating panel to work with the SRT321 thermostat. I can't get it to work. The SRT321 is communicating with the HC2 and is associated to the SSR303.

is there any body who has this same problem or has a fix for this problem.

Best regards.

Take a look at this guide, it gives you a walk through of using it withe the HC2 Heating Panel.

Please login or register to see this link.

You need to ensure that you have the SRT321 correctly installed and associated as in guide

Hope this helps.

@ monions

Thanks for the reply, i've done all that but somehow the heating panel won't communicate with the thermostat. i followed the instructions to the point. i can adjust the setpoint thru my HC2 and it does change after a couple of minutes (wake up lag) but the heating panel doesn't change the setpoint on my thermostat.

Hi

I had this same problem. Firstly you have to include the SRT321 which you obviosly have done successfully. I have found that you shouldn't try to associate with the SSR303 outside of HC2.

To include the SRT321 set Switch dipswitch 1 up. Set HC2 to add device. select "n" (by turning the wheel) on the SRT321 and then push the wheel. It will show "nP" HC2 will add the device but then will ask you to wake the device to continue configuration...when it does press"n" again. Eventually (hopefully) HC2 will say that config was successful.

Then include SSR303

Then set up association for SRT321 in HC2. Go into the advanced settings for the SRT321 and add the SSR303 in Group ID:2. This will allow them to communicate.

The stupid mistake I made was that, having got the two to communicate, I kept playing with them and whenever you change anything in the SRT321 it puts a 2hr 0mins setting in the main house panel which overrides the heating panel. If you set the house panel to 0 the heating panel will update and override it every minute or so.

I hope this helps. It drove me me mad for a while

Hey. I have a problem with it and I don't understand what's going on. Basically everything added as it should, I can change temperature on termostat and in HC, but I am not able to chose termostat temperature as the room temperature and so I can't use heating panel to control termostat. Can you help me with that?

And one more time can you explain how you got rid of those two hours which are always there? Thanks

Just purchased the HRT4-ZW and the ASR Unit which I setup last night after getting the configuration for both units eventually correct

I could not get the fibaro HC2 to control the stat which I had associated, after playing around with the unit for a good hour I tried to control the unit from my iPhone and noticed there is an option which only shows up on the iPhone and not the iPad to enable the control of the thermostat once enabled heating control is now operational from both iPhone and iPad

Has anybody else seen this before or am I not reading posts regularly enough
