[SOLVED] Door/Window Sensor (FGK - 101 - 107) & DS18B20

Recommended Posts

Whenever I try to include a Door/Window sensor, with a connected DS18B20 Temperature sensor, I only see the Door/Window Sensor... What gives?

This is my modus operandus:

1. Connect ds18b20 (correctly) to the d/w sensor

2. Power on d/w sensor, close to magnet

3. Set HC2 to discover new devices

4. Include sensor in HC2 (by pressing the TMP 3x shortly) (see 001.jpg)

At this point it shows a "motion" sensor (is this right?), but no temperature sensor. (see 003.jpg)

I change the Motion sensor to Door or Window and save it.

Beyond this point, it still says "Not configured" in the device overview, is this also correct? (see 005.jpg)

Any help would certainly be appreciated!

    Thanks, for replying, A.Socha,

where do I press "Reconfigure device"?

I have checked in the advanced screen for the device, or even add Device.

Do you mean "Configure Devices" in the Configuration/z-wave network screen? Won't that cause problems with my existing (28) z-wave modues?

    Thanks,

    Will.

I believe you mean "Configure to default values"...

I didn't wait, so removed them from HC2 and re-added them triggering TMP multiple times, which solved my issue.

For reference (if anyone should have this same problem...) this is how I did it after removing it fro HC2:

    1. Make sure the device is powered (remove paper inside sensor)

    2. Close sensor

    3. Search for devices with HC2

    4. Click TMP (on the back) multiple times until it is discovered

repeat this if it requests to activate the device

    5. tadaa!
