No, we don't store any data. But if you got option remote access then we got ssh connection to your hc and we use it to give you remote access by home.fibaro.com

Why is my browser alarming me, when login to HC2 from a local network, that it's trying to connect to Google Analytics!?

The HC2 is used for Home domotica and is very privacy sensitive data.

I don't want to send any data to Google or Fibaro! I'm very sensitive about my privacy so can you please remove this garbage asap!!

    @Lambik

change your browser or at least settings in it. This connection to Google analytics is done by your browser and not HC2. In that light Google Chrome is the biggest spy browser ever made.

when using android mobile app, google analytics is being used in Fibaro mobile app ... but in that case who cares, when using android tablet or phone, one is already "known" by google

First of all, Google Analytics is not initialised by my browser. I use Firefox on a Linux Machine with several privacy security add-ons.

I do care. I disabled (almost) all google services. I monitor all apps for sending data and the services I use from Google are limited in my privacy settings.

I know I can't prevent sending no data at all, but why is Fibaro using it without asking me for permission first, so can choose what I think what is important to me?

I want to know what data is send, who has access to it, and what do they do with it. The bottom line is that I'm the owner of my data, so I want to be in control.

They made a promise not to store any data!!

Fibaro is not storing any data, this is google crap coming from the dev kit. You can remove it with apktool from the AndroidManifest.xml, re-sign the app and install from usb, etc.

It's not coming from the app. Firefox's NoScript and Ghostery add-ons is giving me warnings when accessing the WebMin locally.

    Hi A.Socha.

Can you please explain what Google Analytics is doing in the latest update V4.080 if you don't store any information?

In specific detail, exactly what is used and where does it go and who can use my personal information.

Please login or register to see this link.

    Regards.

Not true at all. This is the HC2 running Google Analytics.

Well, this your personal situation, for me this really feels like an invasion of privacy.

Its like having a google server directly connected to your network.

We know nothing about what this service is collecting from your personal network.

this is why i use iPhone/android only for business calls, privately i use "tuned" Nokia E90 (when network available) or thuraya sat-phone with encryption module (when outside Germany)

As I mentioned in another tread, all notifications send by HC2 (even attached camera shots) are going through the fibaro.com server.

One + thing is that it's being done over https!

I do not know if the data is being deleted straight away after sending the notification back to you!
