Hi,

I was reading the webpage of the fibaro wall plug and i have a question regarding this :

"Besides that, built-in temperature sensor will alert you with flashing purple light if the temperature exceeds 55oC. "

Can this be used has a room temp sensor ? I loved to control a small heater in my bathroom based on the room temperature.

Thanks

Anthony

There is no temperature sensor inside wall plug.. as fas as I know. Maybe you are thinking of Flood sensor? If so, then YES you can use this to monitor and control room temperature.

Thanks that what i thought but it's written in the middle of the page under "Load under control"

Please login or register to see this link.

    Load under control

FIBARO Wall Plug is a one of a kind miniature device that allows you to control the amount of electricity

consumed. Change in color of the flawless crystal LED ring informs you about the current load of the connected

appliance. Besides that, built-in temperature sensor will alert you with flashing purple light if the temperature

exceeds 55oC. The alarm will also run if you go beyond the maximum permissible load of 2.5 kW.

That sensor is probably located close to the energy measuring ic, as the current there runs through a small wire on the circuit board. If the current is to high, that part will get hot quickly. So the temperature is probably a simple temperature sensitive resistor on the circuit board itself....

I would be great to have a simple and cheap Z wave device able to stream constantly the room temperature.
