Communicate with Airplay ?

dhanjel

Question

Are there any available options to communicate with airplay devices? I have 7 airplay zones with speakers in the ceiling in my house I would like to control.

(For instance, start radio automatically when someone enters the bathroom)

I'm afraid you'd need to build an Airplay library in Lua. Or maybe OpenAirplay does enough for you:

Just curious; what would you like to do with the Airplay support? "Control" as in play/pause, next/prev, volume? It would be great if we could give the HC2 text-to-speech over Airplay

  • text to speech, be able to play a stream (web radio) to one or more airplay devices.
