I build a windows phone app with at the moment only the basic functionality:

  • Run scenes.
    Turn Lights On-Off and Dimm.
    Turn devices On-Off.
    Wattage OF Device and Lights.
Speech for Lili (no accuray test, complete sentence has to be correct).

Also added location tracking, which is send to the HC and can calculate distance in Scene (at the moment can only update every 30 minutes).

Need to put Ip in the settings to get connect to HC.

NOTE: Still some bugs and not finished, but I like to share it!

That the App needs the IP address of your Home Center as it cannot connect through home.fibaro.com

That sounds like you either don't have the port forwarding (port 80) correctly setup or you have not got the hostname setup correctly

Great, now I messed up my internet connection

But is there a way to connect via a remote network ?

Have you got a dynamic host setup in your router?

Nope, i use the home.fibaro

an idd i have a dynamic ip and no dyndns kind setup.

Was hoping to do this via home site.

No there is no support for the Windows Phone for the "home" site method of access. A dyndns connection through the router works a treat though.

Hi, I think Fibaro Home Control is a great app!! However, all of a sudden today, the app does not populate the Light list in the rooms any more. I can see the scenes for the rooms, but the lights are gone. And it worked a few hours ago. A funny thing is that the lights disappeared on all rooms at the same time.

In the web GUI all units look ok as far as I understand.

Any help is appreciated and I'm happy to assist in troubleshooting.

[Edit]

Nevermind, a restart of the HC2 did the trick.

Hi,

I used to design windows phone apps as a Microsoft Student Partner and have recently started up a home automation integration business. I love what you've done with the app, but was thinking maybe I could give it a little graphics overhaul?

If you could send me a PM, we could discuss this further.

I'm thinking of this as a collaboration between two users of the system, not as a business transaction, so no money involved.

I would love to see this app getting some love and attention. The missing key functionality is the alarm handling. I still have to carry two phones around with me to cover off just the alarm handling.

So... Is the app dead? Did Fibaro pull it? Is the code somewhere, so someone else can pick it up?

Support from Fibaro for windows Phone might take a lot of time (we're all still waiting for the magical 4.0).

rarev,

The app is build by a community member (Steven from Control Living). I think he is busy...

I know. Sometimes a manufacturer pulls 3rd party apps to publish it's own. I'm glad that the app is there, but it still needs a lot of work. So i'm gratefull, but just curious about the future.

Is this app dead? Would be so nice with an update that works with the beta version.

Stevenvd, is it any change that you can update the app to support new 4.x version?

It seems that some lamp controls dont show up when connecting to HC2
