iOS No longer connects to HC

Question

Posted

I have recently upgraded the HC to version 3.570 and my iPhone (iOS7) now auto-updates software and so I have the most recent version of the app.

I am no longer able to control my devices, for example the lights can only be control through the web access. When I open the app it registers the correct state of whether the lights are on or off.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Damian

Hello,

I have the same issue the IOS7 connection says all the time wrong credentials.

When I connect to the HC2 using the browser no problem.

Do we use the same credential as those in the browser ?

Please advise,

Guy Fauquembergue.

Hello,

For local access this is the same credentials as the Fibaro browser. I cannot connect with a WiFi connection.

For remote access I have lost the password and requested a new one from the fibaro site and never received the email ?

What should I do to connect ?? Please advise I have an upset customer.

Guy Fauquembergue.

I think you're mixing up two things here.

Remote access to your HC2 by a webbrowser (using home.fibaro.com/) has other credentials then remote access for your phone.

For your phone go to Panels --> User panel --> users

Create a user if you haven't.

These are the credentials for your phone.

I'm running 3.570 and IOS7....no problems local and remote (it's even faster then before)

I have exactly the same problems.

In local acces, the initial state is correct but no action is possible on the devices. then if you try to change a state, nothing hapens but the state on the application changes and is so wrong.

[in remote acces, impossible to connect........!!!!!!!!] [solved the problem correcting the IP address but same problem as with the local acces]

I have the old version of the iphone application on my ipad and it works perfectly.

Please help. (fortunatly, the new ability of using a calendar is saving me....)

got an e-mail from fibaro support today,

reason for my issue was that my passwords contained symbols.

fibaro cannot handle special symbols like %,&,@,# .. etc. in the passwords.

finaly my iphone app works again after i changed my passwords to simpler ones

Please login or register to see this image.

/emoticons/default_icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

(what is a bit confusing is that my passwords worked on older version of the ios app)

hope this post will help others with the same experience

regards, Nebo

Thanks neboj. Reverting back to a less secure password has worked for me.

It's very odd that a password policy change would be implemented without letting us know.

neboj.com, that is a protocol problem

because when we use that method

Please login or register to see this link.

    we will get other command

Please login or register to see this link.

    and hc2 will get

that there is no password and new ip is :#$%@ip/action?....
