Scene with sensor activation, how to avoid mass notification

dhanjel

Question

This is probably a newbie question, but I have not found a soloution for this. (Or a really good manual on creating scenes).

I have a motion sensor outdoors at the front door, I want (initially) a notification to go off when someone is there. The scene below works but I get multiple notifications. (Probably when someone moves in and out of range in a short time period).

Is it possible to set the scene to trigger the first time, and ignore any upcoming actions within let say 3 min?

The scene:

Hi,

I have a similar scene on my front door sensor to turn lights on when it is night time and the sensor is armed then breached. To prevent multiple triggers, after the email in your scene, I have set another "then" command, followed by a sensor arm command, which means your sensor is then re-armed ready fro the next trigger.

Hope this helps.

Ray

Just re-read your post. After the initial breach, you could then add a reset ("then" - "arm") command with a delay of say 10 seconds (not 100% certain but think that is the red box).

  • I've tried a couple of ways without luck, this was my last attempt. But now I don't get any notifications at all. The scene editor could really use a good manual.

It is kind of pointless to develop nice looking and good working products when the software makes it useless.
