Update the configuration of a FIBARO Door/Window Sensor

Recommended Posts

How can i reconfigure a installed FIBARO Door/Windows Sensor ? I read that i have to press the button on the back of the sensor 3 times, but the sensor is installed (sticked) at the door - i can't press the button on the back.

What happens ? I added and removed a lot of main powered devices and after this i pressed the button in HC2 to reconfigure all MAIN POWERED devices. But after this all battery powered devices are now unconfigured (but still working).

Most of the battery powered products i can reconfigure by pressing a button inside or easy remove from the door (like the AEON sensor), but not the FIBARO sensor.

Is there a secret to reconfigure the installed sensor ? I pressed the button inside the sensor 1 time, 3 times, 6 times - but this is not working.

I think the inside button should wake up the sensor as well - are you sure that back button is completely pushed in - the tape is installed correctly?

The point is - one of the switches has to be pressed down and then you have to click another one 3-5times.

this sensor is very mysterious !!! I had many problem to wake it up after changing the battery so I excluded it to included it again

So I think the documentation regarding this sensor is not complete enough. This topic often comes up in forums, so fibaro team, please, give us a complete and clear documentation regarding this sensor...

I enjoy all the fibaro sensors except this one mainly because of the documentation

Thanks

Firstly if You are going to change the battery the sensor must be open (so You have to open Your door, window etc.).

Secodnly,if You would like to wake up door/window sensor You have to push a battery a little bit so You can hear "click" and then press fast 3x tamper inside device. That works for me in 100%.

Hope You will have no more trouble

I pressed the whole sensor (with the cap on) because i thought the back button is not pressed, but that didn't work (and i thougt that the back button is pressed after sticking the sensor).

But pressing on the battery, that works (and yes, you can hear a click). So the back button is not pressed due sticking the sensor. What a usefull tamper Switch ...

    Thanks to all

/emoticons/default_icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />. The button inside AND the button on the back side are described as tamper button.

EDIT : BTW, today i received some new Door/Windows Sensors (produced 1.10.2013), the tamper button on the back side can pushed with less force. If you stick this sensor, the button on the back side is pressed due the mounting. This tamper button works now like expected.

I compared with a sensor produced 2.2013, you need much more force to push the button, and this button is not pushed due sticking the sensor.
