Fibaro Dimmer + 2 Phillips Master LEDBulb - need help...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I add Fibaro Dimmer to my Hallway, where I have 2 Phillips Master LEDbulb (great bulb 20W and output is like 100W) 100% dimmable. I have one in other place with other dimmer and works great.

It works turn on and off locally and remotely.

But dimming don't work, they both blink erratically. Or don't react at all if only moved to half.... I tried add one or two Fibaro Bypasses, the same situation... (you don't need them if watts together is greater then 25W (which is 40W in this case) right?

Bulb technical info:

Is my diagram right? And will be better to connect them in serial, then in parallel ? Is that even possible? It's problem with the 3 switches?

Thanks for help

sjauquet, thanks I did found this before I asked. Doesn't help... still behave weirdly. Trying to play with Parametr 20 Change steering impulse duration.

So far it behave better on Parametr 20 = 100 but only with one bulb....

Wow, talk about coincidence. I was just looking at replacing my 40W GU10 halogen lights with LED lights and found the Philips Master series with DimTone.

I already figured that with 3 of those 8W lights on 1 Fibaro dimmer, I was going to need a bypass. But I'm not going to spend 90 euros on 3 lights when they don't work right. Reading your topic here, I'll wait for a bit... So I'm really curious if you can get yours to work properly.

    Please keep us posted

    Hi,

In your diagram you show that you're using toggle switches. Can you say what your parameter values are for 12, 13, 14, and 17?

    monions,

    Parameter 12 - 99%

    Parameter 13 - 5% (or 12%)

    Parameter 14 - Toggle

Parameter 17 - Stair Switch Off

To parameter 17. In my diagram I believe the 3 switches behave as 1. There is a signal or not. 2 switches are 3 way the middle one is cross switch. So if you press one ON then, the one, the second and third will turn it off and vice versa any combination.

To be frank what is a stair switch? I understand that in Momentary switch (series of momentary switches us in our building), but what is wiring of the Toggle switch?

I'm using only one MASTER LEDbulb D 17-75W together with a FGD211 (v 1.7) and one switch that is mono stable but apart from that my connection is the same as yours.

For me this works perfectly and I don't use a dimmer bypass.

The strange thing was that right after I turned power on after connecting it, the bulb blinked when dimming. I turned power off and on again and now it works like a charm.

    12 - 99%

    13 - 2%

    14 - mono

    17 - off

    20 - 110

I don't think I have change anything from default.

So far Fibaro Dimmer with Phillips Master LEDbulb e27 20W 1560lm is this:

1 bulb alone in system is kind of "dimmable". You need to drop bellow 15% and the bulb will switch to "dimmable mode" then you can dimm it up and down as you wish. Then it's working. Turn on 100% then dimming anything between 99%-15% will be +- the same level. Once you drop under 15% the bulb will "switch to dimm mode" it jumps to real 15% or lower and then you can dimm it from 2%-99% without hassle. But from 0% to anything other then 99%. It doesn't work.

I played with Parameters and Para 20 is best set to 100. In other setup it will blink...

2 bulbs on one dimmer - dimming is not possible at all. The one is interfere with the other and you get strobe and blinking effect on one or other.

If you have anybody any tip for setting up the circuit or parameters let me know! I really want these bulbs work with Fibaro. (unfortunately, there is no other 1560lm dimmable LED lamps available)

I have also tried the Philips masterled with the fibaro dimmer. Sadly without succes. I returned THE masterleds and get myself 600lm Ikea dimmable leds.

The light of the leds is good and also important it dims fine with the fibaro dimmer.

    rolinck,

I managed to make it behave quite good. With 2 Fibaro Bypasses! Ill check the behavior during this week.

Do anybody know, what is the Fibaro Bypass? It's a Capacitator? What size?

Good to know. Too bad its needs the capacitor.
