Fibaro wall plug or Everspring On/Off Socket for lamps?

Recommended Posts

I need around 10 wall plugs for controlling ordinary lamps. I can't really decide on whether or not go for the fibaro wall plugs or the everpring model.

I have a couple of fibaro plugs for controlling my media devices (tv, computer etc) and they are amazing. However, they are more expensive as well.

Is there any more features of the wall plug that really is interesting when it comes to standard lamp controlling? Power measuring isn't important, the glowing ring is neither.

And another downside with Fibaro wall plug when using it as a lamp controller, it does not have "On" and "Off" buttons in HC2 as other plugs has. It "only" has the icon of itself that you can click.

On the plus-side for Fibaro is the size.

What do you use for controlling lamps and why? Fibaro, Everspring or anything else?

I use some FGS too. But that mean the socket is dedicated to be controlled. Be carefull with AN158 from everspring because they don't remember device status after power failure whereas fibaro wall plug yes (if configured).

Else the size is important too...

The main complaint with wall plug is that on the HC2, we don't have the ON/OFF as you say...

But maybe for 10 wall plugs you can negotiate a price with your dealer

Hopefully, the developers allow us to set a wall plug as "lamp controller" in HC with proper ON/OFF buttons in the future.

The fibaro plugs is however almost double the prize, which hurts

Even though my goal (within reason) is to only use Fibaro products.
