EZMotion - Only motion

Question

Posted

Hi,

I have just unboxed my new HC2, updated to the latest software version (3.571) and tried to add my first device Ezmotion 3-in-1 sensor. It only seems to be adding the motion element of this sensor. Am I doing something wrong? I have 8 of these devices so really need these to work properly.

Chris

Thanks Jonny. It seems this issue has been known for a while so I hope Fibaro can sort it ASAP. My system is pretty useless without them working so if it doesn't get sorted, I either need to change the controller or change all the sensors

Try to contact (and push on) the support.

They are simply ignoring this issue (I've got some amount of those devices also, much better than Aeon 4-in-1 IMHO).

Z-wave devices of other than FIBARO manufacturers are very likely to work in basic way, but sometimes their additional sensor can not be used. If you still need sensor with very similar functions to the one you mentioned, our motion sensor is the safest choice.

The problem I have with the Fibaro sensor is the lack of DC power supply capability. I am sick of battery based z-wave devices and their crap lifespan.

budda, if device is used indoors, wake-up intervals and sensor reports are not too often, the expected battery life is 2 years.
