Scenes not working / Changes on scenes not saving - Solution

Dirk

Question

Hey,

I don't know when it starts but beginning at a certain point I was not always able to save changed scenes. It worked just sometimes. The responses in the web browser was very slow. Like another user wrote I had the same experience: Even a simple scene to turn on a device doesn't work. When I switch the scene to LUA mode the code is empty.

At this point I had 14 scenes, but only 9 were working as they should. The 14 scenes were pointing to 4 different times (Sundown, Sunrise, 0am and 7am) - don't know if this is relevant.

I don't want to call it 'Solution' because it is more a workaround:

I reduced the amount of scenes to 5. And everything's fine again. Strange...

Do you have some fibaro:sleep in your scenes ? I experienced the same thing, but it was my fault. I added some fibaro sleep at the end of my loop to reduce cou usage. After that all is working perfectly.

    Hey Steve,

thanks for the hint. Actually I only use the block method, so no lua code. But what you are writing sounds good to me. So I have to go into lua, I think.

Or it would be perfect to have a symbol in the block method for this.

If you go to use LUA, i recommand you the lua Scheduler from robmac

So you have only one loop that call other scene.

You can use block to make your action scene and schedule it via the lua scheduler.
