fluorescent lamp and 2x1,5kw relay

i have had 2 relays break (always on) when connected to fluorescent lamp. has enyone seen this behavior? should 3kw relay help? the power of the lamp is around 500w only but im not sure about the starting power...

Depends on your phase shift /power factor but others have had issues. There was a thread in forum. I had a couple fail with even lower load and my supply had been checked not long before and was good.
