Question

I'm able to update a label but not get the value of it. The following code is used in a button.

Updated and working code:

I can set the value just fine and see that it has changed but getting the value isn't working. It just returns an empty string. Bug or syntax error by me?

I have the following code in one of my devices:

This reads the value of Label2 and puts it into a variable. Must say I'm still struggling with the virtual devices too, a more comprehensive tutorial would be great.

  • Ok, solved this. The problem is that setting the label is a little bit slow. Adding a fibaro:sleep(500) or similar to wait for the label to be set and then getting it works fine. See updated code above.
