Hi all,

I have a circuit with 3 Osram Superstar Advanced GU10 7W (Dimmable) LEDs, and after tweaking P20 a bit all is working fine except one thing. When off, the leds randomly flash.

THere are a few situations with the circuit:

- Neutral wire isn't easily available so isn't connected;

- Toggle switch is used on S1 (on S2 it didn't work properly)

- Bypass is installed between O and N.

Any idea why they flash?

Something that I'm wondering is if the bypass can be installed this way, or if it has to be on one of the LEDs. Also, if it makes any difference on which LED, closer or farther away from the dimmer.

Keep in mind that I'm not an electrician, so the obvious might be less for me.

Please check your wiring diagram with the one from

Doesn't it work with the standard parameter 20 = 110? What happens then?

I ask because I have IKEA LED lamps (

) that works fine with P20= 110, 134 or 140 and would really like to know what is the optimal configuration. I'll take it in a separate thread since it is not related to Osram but is a general question.

    Hi,

I've done the following for the LEDs to work properly:

    - Moved the bypass to one of the LEDs L and N connections.

    - Shunted the O and N contacts.

I don't get any flashes now when they are off.

I had to retune P20 though. I noticed that at the default of 110 the low end of the dimming was clipped, i.e. the minimum power was about 20% and would not go below this. Also, above 129 I started to get flashes. So, and after a looong afternoon of testing, I settled on 126, which seems to give around 10% of minimum brightness and stable light.

Also had to adjust P12 and especially P13, as more than 25% of the top dimming was just 100%.

All is fine now, thanks for the tip. And why not, Happy New Year!!!

When using the Dimmer bypass, can you still use the normal way to connect the switches, as showing in the diagram for 2 / 3 wiring? SX with S1 / S2. Or do you have to do it by connecting it as shown in the lower image?
