Lua function support

Question

Posted

Is there a possibility to share LUA functions between multiple LUA scripts?

As a software developer I like to avoid any form of code duplication. So what I think of is the following:

Add one or more virtual devices (or function libraries) to the HC2

Add LUA functions, globals etc.

An example would be:

In "Timer Library"

And from a device LUA script I could use:

Is anything like this already possible (sharing code snippets between scenes), or will it be a possible extension in any future release?

With regards, Bas

+1 I agree, this would be a useful capability. It would certainly shortcut some rather long and repetitive scripts!
