Question

Hi All!

Is it possible to retrieve data from a text file on a computer on the same network as HC2?

Is there anyone who can help me with some LUA code, if its possible.

Help is appreciated!

Sort of.

You could use net.fhttp to read from a web server.

I use this to pull some data from my hot-tub which is powered by a RaspberryPi.

This is code from my virtual device.

Tub = Net.FHttp("IP.Of.Web.Server")

temp, status, errorCode = Tub:GET("/command.php?action=get&variable=water_temperature_1")

fibaro:debug(status.."-"..errorCode)

fibaro:log("Aktuell temp "..temp)

fibaro:debug("Aktuell temp = "..temp)

short_temp = string.sub(temp, 1, 4)

fibaro:call(17,"setProperty", "ui.Temp1.value","Badtemperatur: "..short_temp.."C")
