Foscam latest firmware problem ?

Question

Posted

Hello,

The 8/1/2014, Foscam released new firmware to solve vulnerabilities. See

Since I've installed that, I am not able to move with commands (arrows) the camera and I am not able from the home.fibaro.com to see the MPEG images.

Did someone experiment this ? I am in the latest 3.580

Hi,

You must put your Foscam username and password in all move commands.

Yes, it's what I did : it was working before the upgrade.

If I direçtly access from my browser the url, even with the credentials, I have the popup for identification

Not exactly the same for me :

    - local access : OK

    - home.fibaro.com : NOK

    - ipad/iphone : OK

    Snapshot ok in all cases

But all cases too, movements are not possibles anymore.

After test, on Chome, I've the images (but still arrows are not working)

    On IE 11, no images

I confirm that Foscam Camera are not supported by Fibaro, with the latest firmware 11.37.2.54

Problems are : no images in remorte access (home.fibaro), no movements even in direct access

Other firmware 11.37.2.51 or 11.37.2.49 and are working, with exactly same parameters. Don't forget always to put credentials in the URL.

And I think that it's the issue with .54, as they made several modification on the security side.

I have this issue as well. I have an image, but movement doesn't work! Is there a solution for this?

    Hi Theri,

Do you have a link for that?

Also, I digged up a little, it seems that the latest firmware requires password encryption:

Cannot find the link anymore (I looked over a lot of pages).

I've downgraded to 11.37.2.51 and it works

If you send me your email via private message, I'll send you the file.
