a trigger dedicated to activate scenes

Question

Posted

hello,

i would like to activate several scenes with one trigger (with the dimmer module).

ex : one click activate scene 1......two clics activate scene 2....Three clicks activate scene 3

or ideally, it would be great to have a script that activate several scenes with one trigger with a loop :

one click activate scene 1, a second click activate scene 2, a thrid click activate scene 3

another click will bring back scene 1 (loop)

any idea?

thank you

Looks like you need to realize some finite-state machine logic.

You can use global variable for counting how many clicks you've already done. Your main scene (which starts when button is pressed; probably should be LUA-based) can check and increase that variable and run different scenes based on value.

1, 2 or 3 clicks (as well as other options like f.ex. Button holding) you can use in the "association" functionality in Fibaro module. You need to activate parameter 41 and then implement the logic in LUA. See this topic for details:

Scene activation is simple in LUA:

fibaro:startScene(12); -- 12 is the id of the scene you want to start.
