Toggle buttons in Virtual devices

djknight90

Question

Anyone know of a way of adding toggle buttons to virtual devices?

If not, and ideas on when we can expect to see such functionality?

  • Ah sorry, I didn't make my question clear. Let me rephrase:

Is it possible to have buttons highlighted with feedback, such as when you see a relay switch and you have the On/Off buttons - the current state is highlighted in the UI.

Also, some other questions that have cropped up while working with Virtual Devices:

1.) Is it possible to show elements of a VD (such as buttons, sliders etc) on the main screen alongside the main 'Power' button? See attachment, taken from page 71 of the Advanced User Guide. It looks to be possible, although the UI does look old, perhaps the feature was removed?

2.) Is there a way of pulling a buttons label as a string? I tried this but got nothing:

    No problem

Sorry, in v3.xx you can only show current state in the UI with a label, or with a slider pos.

The capture page 71 is for old HC2 version before v3.5XX virtual device evolution, now you can't do that but perhaps in V4.xx and new plugins facilities

There is no way to change the label for the button... There is a hack but isn't a good solution

Couldn't you show the state of a device by changing the icon? Set separate icons for VD buttons that turn on and off. I don't have any example but I can't see why that shouldn't be possible.
