They use Bluetooth which consum less energy than GPS and work in standby mode with iPhone.

It seems to be an intressting way no ?

what kind of device you want to wear all day?

Iphone 4S+ quite heavy and expensive and iOS (some people prefer Android).

No other clients (people) hardware I am aware of.

    Alex57, this is not really the subject...

    the idea is to use bluethooth instead of wifi (wich is a more power draining technology than BT).

    we can use AppleTV 3 as beacon. 99 USD and much more functions...

    But I still don't know what to wear except iphone 4S+

    IBeacon will work with android devices as well... Personally, I think this would be great neither me nor. My girlfriend leaves home without our phone so it would be a good solution - if the low powered bluetooth signal is capable of penetrating the bricks and concrete walls...
