Hi,

I have an everspring SE812 that I was intending to associate with the smoke sensor as the main siren.

I have tried to associate to it in group 1 of the FGSS001. While the lights that I have associated with in group 1 of the FGSS001 turn on at alarm the siren does not respond.

You would have thought that the siren would have worked when associated but clearly not compatible.

If I use a LUA scene and send command from HC2 on value change of FGSS001 the siren sounds so I have a workaround but does anyone know of a siren that will work with direct association?

Hope they won't disable it in the firmware later... but what value have you set? Can you show your code? Would be great! Even just without association

Oh wait, activate the siren of the everspring or Fibaro smoke sensor?

That would be new information. I think one of the Fibaro guys said it's not possible to turn on the siren through association groups or using z-wave commands.

    Hi,

I must be more careful with my english.

Sadly it is not the siren in the FGSS001 that works it is the one in the everspring.

The one in the FGSS001 is on the quiet side. OK if you are in the same room but not the far end of the house. That is why I wanted to control the everspring and ideally by association.

Haha, yeah when I read it the second time I understood...

I can't imagine though that a simple firmware update couldn't add the functionality of triggering the siren in the Fibaro smoke sensor externally... What do you think the reason is they did not allow that?

You are right. It is needed so that if one sensor alarms you can activate all sensors as the siren is not that loud.

why not let the temperature sensor be the room sensor?

Sorry Rob, same as Steven, when I read it a second time, I understood what you meant. Not a native speaker, be patient with us..

I don't understand the missing link between sensors either. No matter if the siren is loud or not, unless you have a 2 bedroom apartment, it is very well possible that the fire starts on a different floor or in a different section of the house while you are sleeping. Therefor I've installed 2 additional Vision sirens, which can be triggered by the controller. Hopefully you'll never need it, but if you do...
